AMP Early Access Program

AMP early access program

Protect your files, your brand and your IP with the AMP cryptographic watermark.

Today, we are excited to announce the AMP Early Access Program, a limited numbers program that provides content creators and publishers with access to our patented Authentic Media Protection solution, prior to it becoming generally available.

Since December 2023, we have been testing AMP internally and with a small number of content creators. The overwhelming feedback has been that

AMP is a game changer in the fight against disinformation, protection of brand IP and protection against copyright infringement.

Today’s early access program is designed to bring AMP to a wider, albeit limited audience. The program will give time to members to further understand how AMP can be used to protect their files across several use cases, and to integrate it into their workflows. The program also provides participants with the opportunity to help shape how AMP evolves, from sharing additional learnings, user experiences, new use cases, to product enhancements and new features to be added to the AMP roadmap.

Additional benefits

Early access program participants will be able to use AMP on an unlimited basis free of charge. The free of charge period will extend into the first 3 months of usage once AMP moves to General Availability (GA).

What is AMP? Protect your files and brand

AMP (Authentic Media Protection) is our patented [Patent application number: 2319791.6] solution that allows content creators and publishers to watermark their files invisibly and cryptographically. In doing so, files can be verified as authentic, in the sense they have not been modified since publication. The files invisible watermark also links back to the publisher’s digital identity, and the date first made available for publication. This invisible watermark effectively allows any file to be verified as authentic and acts as a protection layer against disinformation and copyright infringement.

Files that have been modified or re-published by a third-party source will break the watermark of the file, effectively rendering it un-verifiable and therefore indicating a file that should not be trusted.

A critical feature of AMP is its ability to cryptographically link a file back to a verifiable digital identity. This means re-publishing files anonymously is no longer possible – aiding content creators in their fight against copywrite. AMP is a must have tool in any publishers/content creator’s toolbox when it comes to protecting files, file integrity, IP and ultimately their brand.

In recent months, the use of using media files for disinformation has significantly increased. It’s a worrying trend that 80% of the population fear will impact critical decisions, including political elections. In addition, modification of files using AI to portray very different images of individuals has made headline news – examples include famous individuals such as Taylor Swift, but it’s not just famous people, many young adults have seen their images modified, altered and re-published.

AMP Verification web browser extension

A free to use AMP verification tool is available as a web browser extension for Edge and Chrome. The tool allows the rapid verification of a file watermarked by AMP, confirming the identity of the content creator/publisher, when the file was published and that it has not been modified in any way.

FinTechAndrew posts on twitter.com (now X) including an image that has been protected with AMP. The overlay in the top right hand corner of the screen-grab is produced by the AMP Verification web browser extension. The overlay appears on the request of the user – this is done by hovering over the image and selecting the Verify button that appears.

The AMP Verification tool, for several popular social media platforms such as X (formerly twitter), is platform aware, and as such, presents a more seamless verification process to users.
